Let an AI agent work with Initrix.
Initrix has a remote MCP server. An agent you connect can read your Lab work and check your computers, as you, with only the permissions you allow.
The address
https://api.initrix.dev/mcp
It uses MCP version 2026-07-28, and also answers agents that still use the 2025 versions. An agent signs in through the normal Initrix sign-in page, where you approve it. The agent never sees your password.
Connect an agent
In Claude Code, run:
claude mcp add --transport http initrix https://api.initrix.dev/mcp
Then follow the sign-in link it shows. In other agents, add a remote MCP server with the address above.
Permissions
A new connection starts with the two default permissions. Nothing else is available yet. When more are, you will grant them to one connection at a time in Settings, and you can take them back.
| Permission | Allows | Default |
|---|---|---|
| lab:read | Read your projects, conversations, messages, jobs and job progress, under the same membership rules as the website. | Yes |
| compute:read | See your computers, the folders you have shared, and whether a computer is ready to run work. | Yes |
| lab:send | Send messages and stop jobs as you, without running anything on a computer. Not yet available. | No |
| programs:read | See the Programs you have registered.Not yet available. | No |
| jobs:read, jobs:write | See and control jobs on devices you own.Not yet available. | No |
| gpu:read | See GPU offers, credits and rented instances. Not yet available. | No |
| gpu:spend | Rent and stop GPU instances, within a spending cap you set.Not yet available. | No |
What an agent can do
Lab
- lab_list_projects
- Lists the Lab projects you can see.
- lab_list_conversations
- Lists the conversations in one project.
- lab_read_conversation
- Reads the messages in a conversation, with each author labelled.
- lab_list_jobs
- Lists the jobs started from a conversation.
- lab_get_job
- Shows one job and its progress, from a cursor so you can follow it.
Compute
- compute_list_companions
- Lists your connected computers and when each last checked in.
- compute_list_workspaces
- Lists the folders you have shared and their status.
- compute_execution_status
- Says whether a project's computer is ready to run work, and if not, why.
Account
- initrix_whoami
- Says who the agent is acting as, in which organization, and with which permissions.
Every tool only reads. Messages written by other members are shown to the agent as their text, labelled with who wrote them.
Money
Nothing an agent does spends money unless you give it a separate permission with a spending cap. That permission is not available yet.
See and switch off connections
Sign in and open Settings → Agents. It lists every agent connected to your account, what it may do, and when it was last used. Revoke one there and it stops working at once. You can also create a key for scripts and CI. A key is shown once.
For agents
The old initrix-mcp package
The initrix-mcp package, which ran on your own computer with an API key, is deprecated. Use the address above instead.
